About Me

IMG_0218.JPG

Hello everyone! My name is Sophia Levy and I am a first-generation American of Venezuelan descent. I am currently a third-year, studying architecture in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati. Throughout my time at DAAP, I strive to combine my passions for architecture and the environment in order to become a sustainable architect. My hobbies include volleyball, yoga, playing the cello, and drawing. I love to travel, learn new things, and help people. I hope to incorporate these interests into my Honors Experiences. I was raised in a Hispanic and Jewish household, and my parents instilled the virtues of integrity, compassion, and curiosity which I have valued since I was young because I feel that they guide me in living a fulfilling life. I hope to develop these traits in my own life, especially during my experience with the University Honors Program (UHP) in order to become my version of a global citizen scholar. My main goal during my time with UHP and UC is to take advantage of the opportunities provided during this step of growth in my life and expand my global knowledge by creating volunteering missions, learning about other cultures through research and travel, and attempting new hobbies that I’ve never tried before.
